Amman, Oct. 11 (Petra) – Border guards at the Southern Military Region thwarted a drone-based drug smuggling attempt on Saturday along its western front within its area of responsibility.

In coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, the rules of engagement were applied after border guards detected the drone, which was subsequently shot down within Jordanian territory. The seized narcotics were handed over to the relevant authorities.
